Little Scholars
POP WARNER SCHOLASTICS PROGRAM:
Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is the only national youth sports organization in America that requires its participants to perform adequately in the classroom before permitting them to play. We believe that the standards we have set give these children a sense of responsibility and an appreciation for academics and athletics that will help them develop later on in life.
Like such organizations as ths National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS), PWLS has academic guidelines and criteria that need to be met in order for a child to participate.
SCHOLASTIC FITNESS: THE NATIONAL POLICY
Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required. A 2.0/70% or the equivalent shall be the minimum grade point average acceptable to participate. No local team/squad may be eligible to participate in league championships and/or bowl games if it has not met the nationally published scholastic requirements.
2010 Pop Warner Little Scholars Announced
Congratulations to all of our 2010 Algonquin Argonauts Pop Warner Little Scholars. The following individuals achieved 2010 Little Scholars First and Second Team Status. All recipients have been invited to attend the Little Scholars Awards Banquet to be held on March 6th at the Marriott Renaissance in Schaumburg.

2008-2009 Pop Warner All-American Scholars Announced Congratulations to all of our Algonquin Argonaut football players who made the 2008-2009 Pop Warner 1st Team, 2nd Team and Honorable Mention All-American Scholars. All recipients of this honor will be invited to attend the 49th Annual Pop Warner All-American Scholar Awards Banquet, taking place on Friday, May 22 & Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Coronado Springs Resort at DisneyWorld in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. All-American Scholars should expect to receive their annual scholar mailings including their certificate of achievement, letter of congratulations and scholar reply form with additional information on the banquet in the mail soon.
